I am a veteran poker reporter that has been covering major poker tournaments (primarily the World Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker) since 2004 as a writer, photographer, and analyst. I created the first true poker photo blog in 2009, and launched the WSOP's Official Photo Blog and the WPT's Daily Photo Recaps the following year.
I also created BJ's Pocket Guide to the WSOP (one of the most sought-after WSOP souvenirs), and was a lead industry analyst for The Poker Beat, which won the Bluff Magazine Reader's Choice Award for Best Podcast (2009) and Best Web-Based Poker Show (2010). I also co-hosted The Jess & BJ Show, an award-nominated video podcast that recapped the tournament action on the World Poker Tour with parodies, prop bets, and bickering.
Brisco, My Dog
I'm a big believer in the old saying that a dog is man's best friend.
I adopted Brisco from the Atlanta Humane Society on September 26, 2012, as a nine-week-old puppy. Brisco is half-Australian Cattle Dog and half-mutt, and full of energy.
